Fascinating you ‘use’ the Asala – the Cassia fistula – at New Year – here (in Sri Lanka) Asala blooms in July and is synonymous with the great Kandy Perahera. Beautiful photographs – and happy Vishnu (auruddhu, we say) to you 🙂

thank you, but actually this year was not a very good year for those flowers – I really had trouble finding a good one to photograph. I am sure next year will be an abundance again.
