To all my Blogger friends, near and far, I wish you a joyous, peaceful and for all of you who are travelling, a safe CHRISTMAS!
GOD’S Blessings to you all.
My heart is too heavy right now to post a food blog this time – I am still shocked and saddened by the latest atrocity in Berlin – in my home country! What has become of it – what has become of Europe?!
I hope you find at least a couple of minutes in your own busy schedule to listen to one or more Gregorian Christmas Chants which were actually recorded live from Berlin.
Carina and JS
Merry Christmas Carina and best wishes for the New Year 🙂
MD – thank you – stay safe and happy with your loved ones 🙂
Sadly, the events of the past 3 months, at least, haven’t left me with many good feelings about 2016 as a whole. This latest ‘attack’ in Berlin is one more in a long list. I wish I could be optimistic about the future but it’s hard.
I wish you and your family a happy holiday and wishes for a Happy New Year.
I know – it’s hard to believe at times that things will change for the better. But we must not stop – we still must believe in some good in some of our human race. Take care – see you soon again.
Wishing you and your lovely family a safe & happy holiday, Carina and blessings for the New Year
Oh Dallas – please remember, for what it’s worth, we are truly thinking of you and your family. It was not easy for any of you but…….Dad will be with you in spirit and love you.
So many people for whom Christmas will not be joyful, Carina. We can only do what we can to spread the love. 🙂
Well said, Jo – that’s what I keep telling myself when I “want” to feel really down – there are so many people in this world who are far worse off than I – one just has to look around!
Merry Christmas and wish you a wonderful 2017 ahead… 🙂
Maniparna, thank you for visiting and your good wishes. All I “want” is peace, health and the love of my family and friends. Is that too much??
Not at all. Wish you everything best… 🙂
I share your sadness. It is times like this that the comfort of family and friends hold us together. May the joy and hope of the gentle season be with us all as we enter a New Year. Many hugs coming your way…
Thank you Rebecca – you are so right! And as far as I am concerned – a hug or two from Canada does the world of good! 🙂 🙂
You are so very special to me!!!
Blessings and thank you! Since Christmas Eve has already reached these shores I am grateful for the Gregorian chants of my childhood and now . . . shall gratefully immerse myself in them later . . . All the world’s great religions preach love and tolerance . . . that so seems to have been forgotten in fear and hate! Will 2017 be ‘better’ . . . may we sincerely hope so . . . , to you and Jo, who have not had an easy year either . . . . warm hugs and hopes
Eha, dear friend – I am so glad that we found “music for your ears” – chosen because it was recorded in Berlin!!!! Letter with photographs!! are coming your way tomorrow or so. You will be with us in our thoughts. Love and hugs as well from us to you 🙂
There is nothing we can say that can excuse or explain the madness of these acts. Be thankful for the blessings you have and continue to be the best person you can be. Wishing you the best for now and the New Year Carina.
Best,
Conor
thank ;you, Conor – and I am glad 🙂 to read that “the Grinch” was sent into ‘retirement’ because of Christmas Eve!
I am so sorry for all the victims of terrorism! I hope you can find some peace and happiness this Christmas!
Ann – thank you for visiting me today again. I am sure we all feel the same as you but, is it not sad that even at this time of year one can not completely relax.
I do hope you and JS had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you both all the best in the New Year, may it be a peaceful one.
thank you Karen, the same heartfelt wishes go to you from us here in South India 🙂
What’s happened to the whole world? It’s very sad.
Jeff – are we getting old? Looking around the Globe – it just makes you weep!!! Lets be optimistic and hope for a better 2017 🙂
